In his 2003 bestseller The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown submitted the theory that Mary Magdalene was the heiress of Jesus Christ with whom she had had a daughter who was to take the helm of Christianity. The child never became the leader she was meant to be, as a conspiracy among the apostles led Mary Magdalene to flee to Europe taking up residence in France and disappearing from history.
After her demise men took over the Church of Christ, reducing women to a status close to slavery. According to Brown, Leonardo Da Vinci who was against male supremacy, proceeded to create a secret society to reveal the truth to generations to come. With time his creation evolved in what we now know as freemasonry — which paradoxically is a male only organization.
Like Mary Magdalene, women have had to hide from male obscurantism for many centuries. The only time they ever reigned seems to have been in the legendary land of the Amazons. According to Engels, the retreat of Mary Magdalene and the Amazons represented the loss of mother right. This allowed men to take command of everything including the home. Women were “degraded and reduced to servitude.” They became slaves and objects of men’s lust and a mere vehicle to produce children.
Fast forward to the 21st century!!
Women shattered the last link to the chain of servitude: men’s abuse.
From films like Wonder Woman — whose character creator hallowed the story as the means to unleash “psychological propaganda for the new women who should, I believe, rule the world” — to the Harvey Weinstein downfall from the Empire of Hollywood, this seems to be the century for women’s reign.
This liberation sails on the tail winds of technology and principles. Technology has made it impossible to keep the “boys quarters” hidden from public purview. Cell phones with their infinite stream of data flowing to create text messages, emails, Instagrams, FaceBook posts, WhatsApp’s, etc., are the best reservoir of evidence against male predators.
The demise of baby boomers rightly described as “a generation of Sociopaths” by Bruce Cannon Gibney and the entry into leading market position by Millennials represents a tsunami of change.
To be sure, baby boomers with the drive for instant gratification and reckless self-indulgence degraded the foundations of American prosperity. Millennials are rebuilding those foundations in total synch with the principles that inspired the foundation of the nation and the realities of the Information Society.
Under this paradigm, transparency and equality are paramount and none of these principles allow women’s exploitation.
So, as we watch the initiating parade of leading men in the information and entertainment world leave the limelight on account of their mistreatment of women, we are getting ready for the rise of more women leaderships in Government and Corporate America — and for the ensuing parade of women offenders who will be brought down from politics.
