Colloquia at the Interamerican Institute for Democracy take the format of a high-level discussion whereby a short thesis is presented by a keynote speaker who has up to 20 minutes to make his/her case. The presentation is followed by questions or contributions by colloquia participants who have three-minute interventions. The colloquia don’t produce any conclusions, they are discussion scenarios and are led by a moderator member of the Interamerican Institute for Democracy.
